Delete your BeGuide account

Delete in the app

1. Open BeGuide and sign in.
2. Open Profile.
3. Scroll to Danger and select Delete account.
4. Review the notice, choose whether to unsubscribe from marketing, and reauthenticate.
5. Confirm deletion.

The authenticated deletion normally completes during that request. You will receive a confirmation email if delivery is available.

If you cannot access BeGuide

Email accounts@thebeguide.com from the address associated with your account. Use the subject “BeGuide account deletion request.” We will verify ownership before acting. Do not send a password, recovery passphrase, ID token, or complete payment-card information.

What is deleted

Your sign-in account provided through Firebase Authentication, BeGuide profile, profile image, user-scoped notes and spiritual activity records, notifications, preferences, and linked support requests are deleted from active systems. Your marketing choice is processed separately so that an unsubscribe request can continue to be honoured.

What may be retained

• A non-identifying deletion audit is kept for 90 days to confirm completion and troubleshoot failures.
• Financial, tax, refund, fraud, dispute, and transaction records may be kept for at least six years after the end of the relevant tax year.
• Information may remain in restricted backups for up to 90 days before being overwritten.
• We may retain limited records longer when required by law, a legal hold, safety, security, or an active dispute.

Retained records are restricted to the purpose that requires them and are not used to recreate your account.

Timing and help

In-app deletion is designed to complete immediately after successful reauthentication. A manually assisted request is targeted for completion within 30 days after identity verification, subject to applicable law and exceptional complexity.
